Created using free motion embroidery (drawing with thread) and watercolours, this unique, original artwork displays a Snowy Owl. His stark white feathers against the grey/blue background of the arctic sky stand out along with his piecing orange eyes.
High quality fabrics and thread make up his feathery body and I have used watercolours to create the sky to look full of snow. Tiny flecks of white thread make up falling snow and add texture and depth to the image.
Designed and sewn in my little studio in Hampshire and mounted in a natural wooden 6 inch embroidery hoop, this stunning piece would made a wonderful addition to any home or to gift this Christmas.
